Course Description:

The ultimate basic and advanced handgun program for the public or private personal protector. A sophisticated, all-encompassing shooting course designed for all aspects of personal protection by the Executive Protection Institute. A program designed to teach the unique skills necessary for concealed carry and the precise use of a handgun in all applicable protective situations. This course includes the VA DCJS 08E Shotgun training.

What does tuition include?

Classroom instruction, hands-on shooting and instruction on a live-fire range, SINGLE OCCUPANCY lodging, and certificates issued by the Executive Protection Institute.

What is not included?

  • Ammunition

How much ammunition do I need?

We recommend 1,000 of ammunition for the handgun you will be shooting.

Do I need to bring my own handgun and equipment?

NO. Students may bring their own weapons and equipment or utilize school handguns (Glock 19), magazines, pouches, holsters, flashlights, shooting glasses and protective hearing devices.

Are there any suggested items I should bring?

YES. We recommend knee pads, jacket/shirt to be used for concealment of handgun, sunscreen, gloves, hats, etc.

Is this a Certified Virginia DCJS course?

YES. This program meets and exceeds the Personal Protection Specialist Basic and Advanced Handgun Requirements (07E and 09E) as well as the Shotgun Requirements (08E) for Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services to perform as an Armed Personal Protection Specialist and receive the Firearms Endorsements for Handgun and Shotgun. 

If you will be carrying concealed while working, you will also need a concealed handgun permit recognized by the  Commonwealth of Virginia and a letter from your employer authorizing you to work in an armed capacity.
