Dr. Kobetz and his associates are the leaders in the development and presentation of the concept of PERSONAL PROTECTION SPECIALISTS as an emerging new career field. All faculty members are acknowledged authorities in their subject specialties and continue to be practitioners with vast personal experience in providing protective services. They have collectively written the major contributions to the literature currently available in personal protection and are regarded as the most respected trainers in the field.

Ana Paula Alfonso

Ana Paula Alfonso is originally from Brazil and arrived in the U.S. in 2003. Less than three years later began to train and operate in the security field. She is a Personal Protection Specialist and has performed various executive protection assignments to include protective details, escorts, estate security, special events, advancing, administrative duties and executive protection driving. Mrs. Alfonso has also, operated a small secure transportation company which transports both domestic and foreign executives and their families in and around New York City and the tri-state area.

Presently, Mrs. Alfonso manages the day to day operations at the Executive Protection Institute with emphasis on administrative and logistical project planning, execution and on-site training management details.  She also assists the International Protection Group on special projects.

Mrs. Alfonso is a graduate of Tony Scotti’s Vehicle Dynamics Institute on protective/evasive driving, surveillance detection and surveillance detection from the adversary point of view.

Prior to coming to the U.S., she worked as an interior designer and managed a design company in Brazil. Mrs. Alfonso is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Mrs. Alfonso is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates and the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers.

Antonio Alfonso

Antonio Alfonso is currently a Sergeant with the New York City Police Department with over 17 years of law enforcement experience.   He is a certified New York State Emergency Medical Technician.  Sergeant Alfonso is also a Personal Protection Specialist with extensive training in all aspects of executive protection and secure transportation. 

He is a graduate of Tony Scotti’s Vehicle Dynamics Institute where he is a Certified Instructor.  Sergeant Alfonso has also been crossed trained in dignitary protection, surveillance detection, surveillance detection from the adversary perspective, transportation management, protective and evasive driving, defensive and advanced firearms training and is an avid martial arts and self defense practitioner.

Sergeant Alfonso has worked various domestic and international protective assignments, many of which he has served as either a detail leader or as a lone protective agent and/or driver.  These assignments have included high-net worth individuals, their families, executives, estates and corporate events.  Many of his duties have included advance planning, route selection, logistics, close protection and transportation operations.

The primary focus for Sergeant Alfonso has always been to protect life and property for the citizens and visitors of  New York City.  His role as a Personal Protection Specialist has required him to also become a facilitator liaison, advisor and most of all a protector, focused on all aspects of safety, prevention and risk management.

Alan Baker

Alan Baker is an internationally recognized martial arts expert. He has been training continually in the Martial Arts since 1981 and teaching since 1990. In 1999 he was inducted into the WHFSC International Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In August of 2007 Mr. Baker was awarded The rank of 7th Degree Black Belt by the International Martial Arts Head founders Grandmasters Council. Mr. Baker. Mr. Baker is an Official member of the Prestigious International KFM Top Team and an assistant ambassador to the United States.

In the course of his career he has attained the level of black belt or higher in Thirteen disciplines of martial arts as well as multiple instructor level certifications in additional systems under some of the industry�s most renowned leaders such as Dan Inosanto, Pedro Sauer, Francis Fong, Erik Paulson, Leo T. Gaje, Jr, Justo Dieguez Serrano, Andy Norman, James Cravens and Paul Vunak. Some of these systems include Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Thai Boxing, Filipino Kali, Keysi Fighting Method, Burmese Bando, Kodokan Judo, Combat Submission Wrestling and Wing Chun Kung Fu. He is the founder and chief instructor of the Atlanta Martial Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia and the creator of the Warriors Path Physical Training Method. Mr. Baker is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and a member of the Nine Lives Associates.

Thomas A. Bradshaw

First Sergeant Thomas Bradshaw is the Area Commander for Richmond City and Henrico County. He has more than 25 years service with the Department of State Police and was also a Suffolk Virginia police officer for seven years. First Sergeant was the former Assistant Unit Commander and the Executive Officer of the Executive Protective Unit for the Office of the Governor. He was the former Intelligence Officer for threat assessments and the Medical Officer for the Protective Detail.

First Sergeant Bradshaw’s background includes 16 years of Emergency Medical Services and he is currently a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician - Tactical. He is a graduate of the United States Secret Service Protective Operations and U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service Academies. He served for 7 years as the Master Operator with the Virginia State Police Elite Anti-Terrorism Tactical/SWAT Team. He has vast experience with high-profile events such as Governor’s and Presidential inaugurations. First Sergeant Bradshaw has advanced and provided protection on numerous trade missions worldwide, working closely with the U.S. Embassy and foreign authorities.

First Sergeant Bradshaw is a certified instructor in the Department of Homeland Security Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings, Federal Air Marshall Service Law Enforcement Officers Flying Armed Certification and Department of Justice Terrorism for Law Enforcement Officers. He is a certified Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services General Instructor and an Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor. He has provided training internationally as a Lead Instructor on behalf of the Virginia State Police to various local, state, and federal agencies on the topic of dignitary protection.

First Sergeant Bradshaw holds a B.S. degree in Governmental Administration and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Christopher Newport University. He also received a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership from the University of Virginia – National Criminal Justice Command College. He is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates and the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers.

Paul R. Collis

Paul Collis manages his own Personal Protection and Security Consulting Corporation. His duties for the past 17 years have included intelligence management, estate security, and various high-risk international assignments as a personal protection specialist.

Mr. Collis was the Team Leader providing personal protection and serving as the Operations Commander for a Diplomatic Protection Team for the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additional duties included domestic and international advances, coordination and interaction with various high-level diplomatic and government protection details. Mr. Collis served 16 years in the Royal Marines Commandos, with 12 of those years assigned to the Special Boat Service, specializing in counter terrorism. He culminated his military career with four years on a high-profile VIP Protection detail. Dr. H.H.A. Cooper is an internationally known authority on matters of security and intelligence. He served as the Staff Director of the U.S. Task Force National Advisory Committee on Disorders and Terrorism, and was a Special Consultant to the National Wiretapping Commission. He is an Attorney and Professor of Law and is a Consultant to several major international corporations. Dr. Cooper served with the Special Investigations Branch of the Royal Military Police and with Her Majesty’s Civil Service. He has been the Chairman of the Non-Governmental Advisory Group before the United Nations Alliance for the Control and Prevention of Crime.

Dr. Cooper is presently on the faculty of the School of Law, University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Cooper speaks Spanish, Italian, French, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian. He is the author of numerous journal and magazine articles, monographs and text on a wide variety of security issues. Dr. Cooper has published several books on intelligence, spies and assassinations. He is frequently seen on network television in the U.S. and Canada and appears on radio talk shows with respect to major incidents of violence, security issues and business intelligence topics. He is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and a member of the Nine Lives Associates.

Dr. Cooper serves as president of the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers and is a Certified Security Trainer (C.S.T.) through the Academy.

Eugene R. Ferrara

Gene Ferrara has worked for the University of Cincinnati since 1978, and now directs their public law enforcement agency responsible for all medical center and campus security operations and criminal investigations. His prior service included 17 years with the Cincinnati Police Department as a cadet, patrolman, police specialist, sergeant of police, and assistant director of the Cincinnati/Hamilton County Police Academy. His instructional expertise includes firearms, operational planning, officer survival techniques, and Executive/VIP Protection. Chief Ferrara organized, coordinated, and personally participated in training programs throughout the nation on a wide variety of police and security issues. He also has trained personal protection teams in Europe, Puerto Rico and South Africa.

He has led protection details for numerous high profile dignitaries who visited the University of Cincinnati  campus and was involved in planning for the security of the 2007 Democratic National Committee’s “Presidential Candidate Debates” at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Chief Ferrara holds a B.S. degree in police administration and a M.Ed. degree in training and personnel development from Xavier University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Northwestern University Traffic Institute’s Police Management course. He worked on-site in security operations for NBC during the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, Atlanta, Georgia, Salt Lake City, Utah and Sydney, Australia.

Chief Ferrara is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates, the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers; and is a recipient of the Katrina Meritorious Service Medal.

Jerome H. Glazebrook

Jerry Glazebrook has more than 38 years of security and personal protection experience. Beginning with the U.S. Marine Corp, Mr. Glazebrook specialized in Personal Security Detail training and was assigned to U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Vietnam; and later promoted to Chief of Personal Protection Unit. After his discharge, he worked as a U.S. contractor supervising 1,000-person guard force assigned to protect U.S. property and citizens in the Republic of Vietnam. Mr. Glazebrook has worked for private families and numerous high-profile multi-national companies. His responsibilities have included crisis management, contingency planning, executive protection, and supervision and administration of personal and physical security requirements. He has conducted advance planning for domestic and foreign travel, including multi-day advances to arrange for law enforcement support, travel logistics, accommodations and event planning.

Mr. Glazebrook has also managed security of private aircraft and seagoing yachts. As Director of Security and Special Assistant to the Honorable Dr. and Mrs. Henry Kissinger, Mr. Glazebrook managed domestic and international security supervised a seven-man security team, office and residential security and security for Dr. Kissinger's documents and papers frequently serving as liaison with domestic and foreign government police, military and intelligence agencies and special projects as assigned by Dr. Kissinger. As president of Hill & Associates ( Americas) Inc., a Hong Kong based firm, he assisted leading corporations with high net worth individuals in addressing security needs. Mr. Glazebrook also was senior vice-president Giuliani-Kerik, LLC, an international security and investigative consulting company. At Limited Brands, Mr. Glazebrook was Vice President, Office of Protective Operations directing and reorganizing a multi-disciplined security team, which was responsible for domestic and international security and safety of the Chairman and family, overseeing a multi-million dollar budget.

Presently Mr. Glazebrook is President and Managing Director of Glazebrook Associates, LLC, a risk management firm, providing services to Fortune 500 companies and private individuals. He has co-authored numerous books including the Executive Protection Handbook.

Mr. Glazebrook is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates, and a member of the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers.

Juan Diego Gonzalez

During his 26-year Army career, Mr. Gonzalez received training in the United States Army Special Forces on communications, weapons, demolitions, counter-terrorism, operations and intelligence. He was a master parachutist, sniper, and Special Forces Divemaster, and Combat Engineer. He developed the Strategic Target Analysis course for the Special Forces Officer Detachment qualification, and implemented counter-terrorism and presidential protection programs in Honduras, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic. He was an original member of the first counter-terrorism force for the United States.

Mr. Gonzalez is certified as an instructor from the School of the Americas and in the forensic application of Strategic Content Analysis (SCAN). He is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates, the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers and is a Certified Security Trainer (C.S.T.) through the Academy.

Jonathan C. Havens, PPS

Mr.  Havens began his career within the protective services field 14 years ago upon attending the Executive Protection Institute, building his skill-set within the areas of Private Investigation, Hospitality and Special Event Security. In 2001 Mr. Havens moved to New York City and worked with International Protective Service Agency providing close protection for various entertainers, business executives, visiting dignitaries and spiritual leaders. 

In 2002 Mr. Havens was recruited by the US Dept. of State’s Diplomatic Security Service.   While serving in the New York Field Office, Special Agent Havens provided close protection for the Secretary of State, and various visiting Foreign Ministers.  In 2004, SA Havens volunteered for a year’s tour at the US Embassy Baghdad with the Regional Security Office.  While in Iraq, he managed the security for a 44 acre police training academy with a 400+ local national guard-force and over 20 supervisory personnel and three K-9 Teams.  During the end of his tour he transitioned to manage the Embassy’s Tactical Operations Center, overseeing 26 PSD “Templar” teams.  In 2005, SA Havens transferred to the US Consulate in Frankfurt, where he managed the Local Guard Force of 110+ personnel, Consular General’s Protective Drivers, and Residential Security programs. 

His career transitioned from federal to private service in 2006, when he was recruited by a Fortune 500 Defense Contractor providing subject matter expertise in the areas of physical security program management.  He currently supports the Corporate Counsel as an investigator.

Jerry Heying

Jerry Heying has more than 32 years of private security and personal protection experience.  Beginning in 1977, Mr. Heying managed a security department of a high-rise building and entertainment facility in mid-town Manhattan that was active with international dignitaries and celebrities.  He was a team member of a large high threat personal protection team for a private family for more than 8 years.  In l989, Mr. Heying founded the International Protection Group, LLC, and the International Protective Service Agency; both New York and New Jersey State licensed security and investigation companies that specialize in special event security, investigations, and personal protection.

Mr. Heying has extensive experience in operational planning and coordinating major events both domestically and internationally and has a full range of experience with protective details as a team member, shift and detail leader, and performing advance preparations for private families, entertainers, business and religious leaders on a worldwide basis and has worked protective details and special events in more than 40 countries.

Mr. Heying obtained his Certified Protection Professional credential (CPP) from ASIS International and is the Co-Vice Chair for the Fire and Life Safety Council. He is a Certified Security Trainer (CST) from the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET), a Certified Anti-Terrorist Specialist (CAS), a certified security driving instructor with Tony Scotti’s Vehicle Dynamics Institute (VDI), and an NRA, New York and Virginia State Certified Firearms Instructor and has attended numerous law enforcement and security training courses over 32 years. Mr. Heying is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and a member of the Nine Lives Associates and serves as the Executive Director, and is the President of the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers. 

William N. Horn

Investigator Bill Horn has more than 33 years of law enforcement experience. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Law Enforcement Academy and worked with the 3750th Security Police Squadron as patrolman, correctional officer and arms room attendant. From 1982 to 1985, he was the Town Sergeant and then the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the Middletown, Virginia Police Department. Investigator Horn served as Captain of Administrative Services with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office in Winchester, Virginia and as a Security Officer with the Department of Homeland Security.

Investigator Horn is a certified Firearms Instructor with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, specializing in shotgun applications. He is a certified Instructor/Trainer in Health and Safety with the American Red Cross, specializing in Emergency Medicine applications.

Investigator Horn is a graduate of the Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training Academy. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University with a minor in Communication Studies. Investigator Horn is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates and the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers.

Eliot Jardines

Eliot Jardines was the first Assistant Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Open Source (ADDNI/OS) in the United States. Assuming his position on 5 December 2005, he was responsible for developing strategic direction, establishing policy and managing fiscal resources for open source exploitation as well as document and media exploitation for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Prior to joining the ODNI, Mr. Jardines was the founder and president of Open Source Publishing, Inc., a privately held firm providing open source intelligence support to the public and private sectors. The firm was acquired by Radiance Technologies, Inc., where he served as the director of the Radiance Open Source Intelligence Division.

Mr.Jardines served in military intelligence assignments overseas and in the United States in both the active Army and the Army Reserve. He got his start in Open Source Intelligence as a member of the US Army's 434th Military Intelligence Detachment (Strategic), which was affiliated with Yale University and commanded by then Colonel Rob Simmons, now a candidate for the US Senate and former Connecticut Congressman. According to press reports, Jardines ran OSINT efforts at the 66th Military Intelligence Group in Augsburg, Germany.

He is notable as the foremost U.S. federal government authority with respect to Open Source Intelligence, for establishing the National Open Source Enterprise and for authoring ICD301.

Beth Kalyan

Beth Kalyan has a vast security and executive protection career with diverse private and public sector experience. She provides personal protection services to a variety of clients, as well as surveillance, counter-surveillance and investigative services. Her assignments have included protection of corporate officers, public officials and Miss America.

Ms. Kalyan is an instructor in several security disciplines, including firearms and driving. Ms. Kalyan presently manages her own tactical clothing and equipment company, where she has built a client base through quality service and delivery. She previously worked as a Sales Associate, where she marketed and sold firearms to police officers, security personnel and individuals. She is a sworn law enforcement officer for Washington, DC (Reserve), and is also a sworn Court Appointed Special Advocate in Fairfax County, Virginia. She recently served as Reserve Officer, Gretna, Louisiana, during Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts. Ms. Kalyan is certified as a NRA Handgun Instructor. She is also a certified Police and Security Driver, Survival Force and Expandable Baton and OC Aerosol Instructor.

Ms. Kalyan is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates, the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers; and is a recipient of the Katrina Meritorious Service Medal.

Scott Kempkens

For the past 4 years Mr. Kempkens has been working a High-Threat protection detail in Iraq providing protective services to several US Ambassadors, government officials, dignitaries, and other high-level diplomatic personnel. He has worked various areas in Iraq, including 18 months in Baghdad, as well as the entire northern region with over 2000 successful missions.

Mr. Kempkens is also a founding member of one of two Quick Reaction Force-Counter Assault Teams and helped develop S.O.P.'s for Department of State High-Threat Operations. He also held the position of team intelligence specialist for the past 2 1/2 years and has dealt with various intelligence sources. On his most recent assignment, he was appointed team leader. Mr. Kempkens was recognized by Ambassador Khalilzad for actions under fire while wounded while protecting US Dignitaries and has been nominated for the Defense of Freedom medal. Prior to his assignment overseas Mr. Kempkens worked for Royal family members, corporate clients and spent almost ten years working for a wealthy family both overseas and in the US. He has six years experience in the US Army training in various climates and held various advisor and instructor positions.

Mary E. Kobetz

Mary Kobetz formerly managed the day to day operations at the Executive Protection Institute with emphasis on administrative and logistical project planning and execution. Prior to coming to the Institute, she had an extensive career as an audiovisual specialist, project manager and contracting officer.

For over 20 years, Mrs. Kobetz produced and directed video productions internationally and throughout the United States. For the U.S. Navy, she frequently worked with foreign governments and high profile military and civilian personnel. With the Office of Inspector General, U.S. Postal Service, Mrs. Kobetz managed all audiovisual projects producing and directing Inspector General training and information videos, and the management and oversight of large multi-facet audiovisual contracts for conferences, conventions; seminars and teleconferences. She was the graphics consultant on special projects for the Inspector General’s printed media including the Semi-Annual Report to Congress. For several years, Mrs. Kobetz produced a daily Postal Service electronic newsletter. Before leaving government service, Mrs. Kobetz served as a project manager and Government Contracting Officer with the US Army. Mrs. Kobetz previously owned and operated a small catering business in the Washington DC area.

She is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and a member of the Nine Lives Associates. Mrs. Kobetz is a member of the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers and serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the Academy.

Professor John I. Kostanoski

Professor John Kostanoski is the Chair of the Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Security Systems at Farmingdale State University of New York. He has served as a Technical Consultant to the National Institute of Justice and is editor of the Journal of Applied Security Research, a peer-reviewed academic Journal that is published quarterly. He is a frequent lecturer to security personnel and corporate executives on security technology matters and has been involved for several years with engineering authorities in the development of high technology protection systems. His most recent contribution has been in the blending of quality equipment with innovative techniques of design to offer portability-plus protection systems. He also serves as an instructor at the Executive Protection Institute on investigative and personal protection technology and as a consultant on security technology surveys.

Professor Kostanoski has received a certificate in classification management from the Department of Defense, Defense Industrial Security Institute, Richmond, Virginia; and has completed the Cisco Certified Network Associate training program. He holds a BS and an MA degree, both in Criminal Justice, from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York. He is the co-author of the text: Security & Loss Control, Macmillan Publishing Company, 1983 and Introduction to Security and Loss Control, Prentice Hall, 1990.

Professor Kostanoski is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and a member of the Nine Lives Associates. He is a member of the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers and serves as Executive Vice President for the Academy. Professor Kostanoski is a Certified Security Trainer (C.S.T.) through the Academy.

William A. Minear II

Mr. Minear is a member of the West Virginia National Guard - Military Authority, serving as Deputy Director – Critical Infrastructure Protection Programs for the Joint Interagency Training & Education Center ((JITEC).  Bill has 35 years of public safety (law enforcement, fire/rescue, emergency medical services) and private industry (security, safety & health, industrial hygiene) experience.   He has provided leadership and guidance to organizations and companies in all facets of protective services and emergency preparedness, planning and response.  He is currently assigned to provide leadership support to the critical infrastructure protection programs for the State of West Virginia.

Mr. Minear graduated from West Virginia University-Parkersburg in 1983 with a degree in Fire Science and Safety Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 from Glenville State College.  He has continued his education by earning his Master of Science – Strategic Leadership in 2006 from Mountain State University.  Bill is currently pursuing his Doctor of Executive Leadership at the Charles H. Polk School of Leadership & Professional Development at Mountain State University.

A Board Certified Protection Professional with ASIS International, Bill currently serves in a volunteer leadership position as Vice Chairman of the Fire & Life Safety Council.  In March 2011 he was selected as a member of the U. S. Department of Homeland Security’s State, Local, Tribal, & Territorial Government Coordinating Council (SLTTGCC), serving two years prior as a subject matter expert for critical infrastructure programs.  He is a 1982 graduate of the West Virginia State Police Academy – 42nd Basic Class. Bill holds adjunct faculty positions with the West Virginia State Police Academy, Mountain State University, and West Virginia Department of Education - RESA Public Safety Training.

Mr. Minear is a  graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and serves on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET).

Dave Musser is well known in his industry for his diverse knowledge of computers and logistical and organizational skills. He is a highly accomplished Systems Architect, Web Developer and Project Manager. He has a lengthy background in creating and implementing major technical solutions for corporate and government clients.

Mr. Musser’s history includes work as a computer analyst, private investigator and photographer. Mr. Musser is currently working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, implementing and managing FEMA’s web content, and keeping in-depth projects on schedule and on budget. At Interwoven, Inc., he was the consulting manager for more than 50 clients. He directed software implementation and solutions architecture from inception to completion. Mr. Musser staffed, trained and led up to 10 consulting personnel per project and provided internal and external product training courses. Mr. Musser has negotiated major contracts, provided quality assurance; forecasting and project status reports for top executives. He performs system integration and high-level programming and creates and manages web indicatives using HTML and Java technologies.

Mr. Musser holds an Associate of Applied Science, Electronics, from the Lord Fairfax Community College and is currently enrolled in Ashington’s MBA in Management program. He is a Certified Microsoft Systems Engineer and Internet (MCSE + 1), and holds an Interwoven Certification. John S. Negus, has been in Law Enforcement and as a Security Consultant for over 34 years.  He is a retired member of the New York City Police Department after twenty years.  He is currently the Vice President of Protective Operations, International Protection Group  where he is working with all facets of Executive Protection Services.  This position encompasses Personal Protection, Threat Assessment, Management, Security Transportation, Personnel Development and the various training areas surrounding these specialties.  He is a New York State Private Investigator and Armed Security Guard.

He most recently worked for three and a half years at the New York State Attorney General’s Office as a Confidential Police Investigator in the Police Investigations Bureau, Regional Office.   This unit also was tasked with the Personal Protective Security for the NYS Attorney General.

As an Intelligence Division Supervisor, provided Protective Security Services which included planning and implementing all protective and security details in and around New York City. He worked in conjunction with federal agencies for Heads of State, Governmental Officials, dignitary visits and as the High Threat Protective Supervisor.  As detail supervisor,  consistently tasked with protective security details throughout the year culminating with the United Nations General Assembly as the command post coordinator and On Scene Incident Supervisor.

Mr. Negus also provided instruction in surveillance detection, pre-attack indicator identification, counter surveillance, and threat vulnerability assessment to the members of the New York City Police Department, New York State Police, Emergency Reaction Teams and NYS Department of Corrections, Inspector General’s Apprehension Teams.  Trained Intelligence Division, Protective Security Specialists as Surveillance Detection teams.  Instructed Security Driver evasive/counter-terrorism driving techniques and procedures in the Personal Protective Security Course.  He has expanded a network of world - wide contacts from law-enforcement, government, military and private sector security.

He was managing director of the Ross Group (an Irish security company in Ireland) and when the company was sold to ADT, Donie was retained as their general manager. He has worked abroad extensively in all areas of security training and was the first person in Ireland to run seminars on Computer Related Fraud, and seminars with the International Association for Hospital Security and the Mosier Anti-Crime Bureau. Mr. O’Callaghan is also a student of the martial arts. Mr. O’Callaghan is highly respected as a lecturer and trainer, not only in his home country but also in the UK.

Mr. Roberts has served as a Deputy Sheriff with Thomas County Sheriff’s Department.  He was a member of their SWAT team, the Field Training Officer and Senior Deputy in charge of the Traffic Division. Mr. Roberts also served with several police departments in Georgia as a member of their SWAT teams and as a Field Training Officer.  He has also worked as a Senior Drill Instructor for the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Sheriff Tony Roper

Sheriff Roper began his career with the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office over 21 years ago.  In 1986, he was the founding member of the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force which consisted of several agencies in the upper Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. During his career, Sheriff Roper was assigned to various federal task forces, including Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation including the FBI’s Drug and Violent Crime Force in Winchester, Virginia.

In 2004, he was elected to the Office of Sheriff of Clarke County, Virginia and presently holds this office.

Sheriff Roper’s firearms certifications include advanced firearms work with Sig Arms Academy and H&K.  He is a graduate of the Virginia Forensic Science Academy and the FBI National Academy  Sheriff Roper has completed numerous advanced management training programs and is a graduate of the National Sheriff’s Institute.

Dr. Torres is a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces, Military Intelligence and Command and General Staff Schools. He has served as Guest Instructor at the National Intelligence Schools of the Republics of Ecuador and Colombia. Dr. Torres has also served as a Special Agent with the Department of the Army and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Dr. Torres has held security management positions and has worked as a security consultant for various corporations in Puerto Rico. He has served as the President for the Puerto Rico Bankers Association’s Security Committee, Co-founder and Chairman of the San Juan Metro Area Fraud Task Force.

Dr. Torres currently holds the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Puerto Rico National Guard. He has a sixth degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate. Special Agent Austin White has over 20 years service with the Virginia State Police and other public safety agencies.  He is currently assigned to the Virginia Fusion Center which is the Commonwealth’s all-crimes/all-hazards intelligence center. There he serves as the Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Unit Liaison Officer.  His responsibilities include initiating contact with agents and officers in the intelligence community in addition to federal, state and local law enforcement officers in order to facilitate sharing of information and resources related to domestic and international terrorism. He also serves as the Fusion Liaison Officer program coordinator and Critical Infrastructure/Key Resource program lead agent.

Agent White had previously served on the Executive Protective Unit where he was a shift leader tasked with the protection of the Governor and First Family of Virginia.  Serving four Governors, Agent White had the responsibility to coordinate numerous major events at the White House and the United States Capitol as well as multiple events with high profile political leaders and celebrities. 

A certified Associate Emergency Manager, he is also currently employed as a technical instructor specializing in mass fatality incident response and emergency services coordination for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
